January Manga: Hannah Montana, but Make it a Panda!

Welcome to The 'Monthly Manga Rec' Book Club

Living a Double Life as a Panda Mascot

You know what time it is! You don't? Well it's time for this Month's New Manga Rec. Look out shoujo classics because this manga is definitely gonna become a household favorite for fluffy romance reads.

We start the manga shrouded in darkness, caught inside of a hero's desperate plea. It seems like the dreams of all those they protect are about to be vanquished.... killed... but who exactly is this hero?

Well if you guessed it's a teenage girl in a panda suit, getting her ass served to her by two toddlers then you would be correct! This overly earnest and unlikely hero is Hana the lead of our manga. Hana's working as her local mall's mascot (a panda). The endearing and almost comical part of Hana is that she treats her panda/human double life with the same seriousness Peter Parker does his identity as spider man. That girl does not play about this job. So what happens when a boy in her high school takes an interest in her alter ego? How will she protect her secret and the dreams of this city?

Try and Spot the Difference Between these two images. If you asked Hanna she'd say they're identical

Why You Should Read This Series?

Despite being incredibly cute, the pacing of this romance is incredibly well done. More than that, it's oddly like two romances tied into one. During this manga, we get to watch our male lead connect with Hanna both as human Hanna and Panda Hanna. He's the perfect example of Would You Still Love Me If I Were A Worm? But make that a sweaty panda mascot.

The humor is well done. There is an element of physical humor that you could honestly only do when you  cram a person into a panda suit and send them running around or flying behind the wheel of a bike.

ALL IN ALL IT'S A WONDERFUL SERIES. I'M HOPING WHEN THE REVEAL COMES ITS JUST AS GOOD AS THIS CLASSIC.

    1. I would love a proof reader! Unforutanely english is my first language (womp womp). But I will admit the proof reading quality is low as I'm mostly just working on this blog for fun between medical appointments. My dexitry and clairty with some health stuff has been on the decline so that's probably apart of it. I'll draft my thoughts hit publish and then, when I have time go back and proof read the errors I've made in my haste. Thanks for the comment :) I love any and all things commented i'm def on the hunt for someone willing to proofread now
